RIP Kricket

Poor Kricket passed away Aug 9th. She wasn't even 2 years old. To be honest I think we got screwed by the breeder because she has had a lot of problems almost since we got her, but we loved her and will miss her. We aren't sure what happened, but we know she is in a better place.

Trip to Utah

Back in May Caleb and I met my parents in Utah. Caleb finally got to meet his only living Great Grandparents, Grandpa and Grandma Mac. It was great to see them and spend time with them and I am so grateful they were able to meet Caleb. He had so much fun with Grandpa and loved Uncle Gary. He also met many Great Aunts and Uncles and Cousins. We also went to temple square and saw a new awesome presentation they have on families. Very touching and makes me so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, knowing that my family is eternal.

Caleb & Grandpa-isn't this precious

Family Vacation

The end of June we drove down to my parent's home in Florida. Luckily Caleb was a good little traveler and we made it there in good timing (stopping in Gainesville for Ben to get more Gator gear). We all drove down to the Keys so the boys could do a little Scuba Diving. It was a lot of fun. We stayed on the island of Islamorada. It is kind of a scary drive in parts because you are on a bridge and only the ocean is beneath you. Pretty crazy! We drove down to Key West one day which was fun until the boys got grouchy from all the fun shopping. I will say though the beaches weren't all that great. I liked the beach close to my parents the most. We also went on a Airboat ride in the Everglades. It was fun, but kind of creepy. Caleb loved it though. Here are some pictures from that week.

Bull Riding

Against my will, Ben decided he wanted to try to ride a bull. One of his buddies does this for a living and a little town close to us was having a little rodeo and were doing exhibition riding after it was over. I was so nervous something horrible was going to happen, but all is well and he can now say he has rode a bull.

Zoo

Ben had a meeting in Tulsa a couple weeks ago, so we decided to take Caleb to the zoo. He loved it. He was going crazy watching all the animals. I think his favorite were the elephants. It was a lot of fun and something we will definitely do again.

Quick Update

So Caleb is only 2 months away from being 1. I can hardly believe it. He is crawling all over and took 6 steps the other day for the first time. I'm not sure I'm quite ready for him to walk, but he is so ready!! We love this little man so much and can't believe how fast he is growing. Here is a little video of him walking and some other random pics from the summer.
