Bull Riding

Against my will, Ben decided he wanted to try to ride a bull. One of his buddies does this for a living and a little town close to us was having a little rodeo and were doing exhibition riding after it was over. I was so nervous something horrible was going to happen, but all is well and he can now say he has rode a bull.

Zoo

Ben had a meeting in Tulsa a couple weeks ago, so we decided to take Caleb to the zoo. He loved it. He was going crazy watching all the animals. I think his favorite were the elephants. It was a lot of fun and something we will definitely do again.

Quick Update

So Caleb is only 2 months away from being 1. I can hardly believe it. He is crawling all over and took 6 steps the other day for the first time. I'm not sure I'm quite ready for him to walk, but he is so ready!! We love this little man so much and can't believe how fast he is growing. Here is a little video of him walking and some other random pics from the summer.

Caleb, Anniversary, & Puppies

Let's start with Caleb! He is now 6 months old!! I can hardly believe it. He is pretty much sitting up all by himself, he still falls over once and awhile, but for the most part he can sit up. He said dada the other day. I don't think he quite knows what he is saying yet, but Ben was so excited :) He loves food and thinks he needs to be eating whatever we are. We had to buy him a new carseat because he is now 30 inches long. He is about 17 pounds and growing like crazy!! Oh and he is teething, which most of you know is sooo fun! I feel really bad for the poor little man. He loves watching sports on TV. Has to have a blanket to sleep, definitely takes after me. Last but not least he loooooves attention.

Ben and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary this past week. I can't believe it has been 2 years already. It has been a great 2 years and I look forward to many many more.

Kricket, our St. Bernard had puppies 8 weeks ago! This was a shock to all. Ben's mom had her because we had been traveling a lot and then she got sick so Ben's mom was going to nurse her back to health. She took her to the vet and the vet didn't even know she was pregnant(needless to say we will never go back to that vet)! One morning Ben's mom heard all this commotion and went out and there were all these puppies. So if anyone knows of anyone that wants to buy a st. bernard let me know! But in all seriousness they are so cute! If they would just stay this size!

Ice storms, Florida, V-day

Ok, so I know it has been far too long since I have posted. So many of you probably heard about the ice storms in Arkansas, and yes we were in it. It was crazy. Like nothing I had ever seen before. We lost power sometime Monday night and woke up to layers of ice everywhere. At about 10am we hear this huge crashing sound and it was a tree branch falling on our house. We had many fall on our house but were lucky to only have damage to our satellite dish. It was so eery sounding whenever the branches fell.

Luckiy, we had a trip planned to Florida and we were to leave Wednesday(this really worked out because our power didn't come back on until Friday). This however, required us to drive in the ice because we were flying out of Tulsa which is normally about an hour and a half away, but this time it took about 3 hours. Luckily Caleb slept almost the entire time. I have really never been so scared in my life. We are driving next to semi's and sliding a little. I felt like I was on a video game where they always have some kind of level with ice. Ya it was crazy. Luckily we made it there safely. Caleb did great on the airplane and the pressure didn't seem to bother him at all. It was so nice to go from 17 degree weather to about 75 degree weather! It was much appreciated Mom and Dad! We had fun! We took Caleb to the beach for the 1st time, just walking around. It was a little windy so he didn't enjoy it too much! For the most part we just relaxed and hung out. Caleb got to meet his cousins Juliana and Ashley and Uncle Matthew and Aunt Erica. We really didn't want to leave, but had to come back to real life again. At least our electricity was on!!!

Valentines Day was different this year. It's not the same when you have a kid, but Ben made sure it was special! I kept teasing him that I wanted my bed to look like Meredith's bed that was on Grey's when Derek was going to propose. So to my suprise, he cooked dinner and I cleaned up and while I was cleaning up he decorated the bed with chocolates and had a bath running with rose petals in it. It was so sweet and romantic!

Well that is all for now and I promise to keep up with it. Here are some random pics of Caleb!

CHOMPED!!

Ben told me I had to dedicate this post to the Florida Gators because once again they are National Champions. This made for a very happy husband on Thursday! He says Caleb was his good luck charm!

We had a bunch of friends over for the game and had fun grilling and hanging out. Caleb was tuckered out before the game even started.

Caleb is growing like a weed. We are loving every minute of watching him. He is such a happy baby and loves to laugh and talk. He loves taking baths and being naked.

He absolutely loves his little bouncer and watching tv. He especially loves sports which makes daddy happy.
Before Caleb was born we found this little suit at Sams Club and he is finally big enough to wear it. He looks so handsome!

I can't believe he is already 2 1/2 months. Time really does fly!
